After Short Hiatus, Supergirl Gets New Creative Team

Marc Andreyko and Kevin Maguire are set to take Kara Danvers in a new direction.

After a short four month hiatus, Supergirl is back with a new creative team, new direction, new costume, and pretty much everything else that comes with an "all different, but pretty much the same" change. Writer Marc Andreyko and artist Kevin Maguire take over starting on issue #21 from writers Jody Houser and Steve Orlando and artist Robson Rocha.

The new issue will see Supergirl on a cosmic quest to learn more about Rogol Zaar, the planetary-crushing villain introduced by Brian Michael Bendis and Jim Lee in Bendis' Action Comics #1000. Unsurprisingly this run will tie into Bendis' weekly mini-series Man of Steel.

Supergirl #21 is set to release August 8.
