The fifth installment will be Harrison Ford's last.

Director Steven Spielberg knows it'll be controversial, even blasphemous to a small vocal minority of his fans, to suggest that a woman should take over the role of Indiana Jones following Harrison Ford's retirement from the franchise following the fifth installment.

"We'd have to change the name from Jones to Joan. And there would be nothing wrong with that."

Filming for the fifth installment is set to start April 2019, but Spielberg is already looking to the future.

"This will be Harrison Ford's last Indiana Jones movie, I am pretty sure, but it will certainly continue after that."

Indiana Jones 5 is set to release July 10, 2020.
