Tonight's Dragon Ball Super Has a Callback From THE NEXT DIMENSION!

A blast from Dragon Ball Z past just showed up in tonight's English dubbed episode of Dragon Ball Super.

So for those watching Dragon Ball Super on Toonami tonight were in for the shocking surprise. The episode finale deals with a clone of Vegeta (voice in English by Christopher Sabat, who's played the character since 1999) being created.

Normally, you'd expect that Sabat would just voice the clone too. BUT NOPE! Instead, a WTF moment soon happened as the Clone was voiced by none other than the first actor who voiced the character in English on American shores, Brian Drummond (though to be fair he never left and voiced the character in the Ocean Group dub overseas. Just that we American audiences never saw him after a certain section of Namek)!

Funimation, the company that distributes Dragon Ball Super here in the states even confirmed it on Twitter (along with showing the clip that introduced Drummond back to the American Dragon Ball fold):

Yes, the original voice of Vegeta is back and the arc will continue on January 6th (because two holidays back to back means two marathons back to back for Toonami).
