Milla Jovovich To Be Blood Queen In Hellboy Reboot

The film is formerly titled Hellboy: Rise Of The Blood Queen.

Director Neil Marshall has found his Blood Queen in Milla Jovovich, who is in final talks to join the rebooted Hellboy franchise. It was recently revealed that the film has dropped the subtitle Rise Of The Blood Queen. Jovovich is know for the Resident Evil franchise, Ultraviolet, and The Fifth Element.

The film, which is shooting for an R rating, is directed by Marshall and stars David Harbour as the titular character and Ian McShane as Trevor Bruttenholm. The latest screenplay is written by Aron Coleite, after a first pass from Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. Filming is set to start this fall for a 2018 release.
